A further use for security ties is to hold together several parts of a set. You do not need a labeling gun for this; in the case of security ties the end of the thread is inserted manually through the closure. This produces a permanent connection that can only be separated by cutting the tie.

Security ties with barrel-shaped closure heads are available in the lengths 3.0, 4.7 and 8.7 inch.
